“That's awesome. Aside from being a really positive outlet for kids who are going to skate whether there's a park or not, it's a breeding ground. It helps our sport grow.” - Tony Hawk

Since opening in 2009, the Hot Spot Skate Park has become a popular facility for skateboarders throughout the Upstate and beyond. Developed through a partnership with Spartanburg-based R.L. Jordan Oil Co., Partnership for Active Youth, and the City of Spartanburg, the Hot Spot Skate Park was the first public concrete skate park in the state of South Carolina. The park includes street-style features such as steps, rails, boxes, ramps and ledges. The park also includes a flow course with a pyramid, two half-pipes with escalators, a spine, camel hump, an eight-foot quarter-pipe leading back into the pyramid, and a mini bowl! There truly is something for everyone of all abilities at Hot Spot Skate Park!
